We are currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Roadway Design Engineer for our Transportation team onsite in Raleigh, North Carolina. At this time, we are only open to candidates located in Raleigh and able to work onsite.

Annual Compensation: $98,904 - $126,256/year based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

ROADWAY DESIGN ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform engineering design tasks for roadway projects from preliminary to final design.
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages.
• Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plans (including but not limited to implementation and knowledge of cross sections, traffic control, drainage, and signing and pavement markings plans.
• Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors, and client managers.

ROADWAY DESIGN ENGINEER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering, transportation systems engineering or related field or foreign equivalent.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience as a transportation engineer, roadway design or similar occupation with some (1) design experience in accordance with NCDOT; and some experience with(2) Micro Station and Geopak design software.
